Haldwani to Pothing Tour
We started our journey on 25th November 2008 for Bageshwar (Pothing) School. After having breakfast/ lunch at home we started traveling at 10:30 AM. We purchased some sweets and snacks for students from Haldwani market then we started our journey to Bageshwar.
BHIMTAL : At 12:15 Pm we reach at bhimtal. It is about 26 Kms. from Haldwani, nestled in a beautiful pristine valley, this lake is the largest around Nainital. The beauty is enhanced by a small Island surrounded by crystal blue water. Tourist enjoys here boating in lake. One road from bhimtal leaves for naukuchiatal while the another one goes to kathgodam 21 kms from here.

NAUKUCHIATAL :- (1218 MT) About 4.5 kms from Bhim Tal -lies the mystique lake with ‘nine corners’. Surrounded by dense forested hills and Orchards on all sides it provides solace from the maddening rush of the plains. Due to time we stay here for half an hour and take some pics
 
BHOWALI
It is 1706 meters above the sea level and 11 KMs. away from Bhimtal. Bhowali is famous for its beautiful dense surroundings and fruit belt. Bhowali is also known for its T.B. sanatorium established in 1912.
KAINCHI
Kainchi situated at a distance 9 Km from bhowali. It is a modern pilgrimage centre established by Neem karoli Baba a saint of early sixties of twentieth century.
ALMORA
Almora is a town with rich cultural heritage and history. It is considered the cultural heart of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Almora is also famous for (Bal Mithai and Singori) sweets. We also enjoy singori

KAUSANI :- the beautiful town of Kausani -also called the Switzerland of India. It provides an enchanting sunrise over the Himalayas -a rich experience which will remain alive in your memories for lifetime.
The road winds it’s way beside the Kosi river, past the terraced villages of Someshwar, famous for it’s Shiva temple, and it’s view of Trishul, emerging between two nearby hills which obliterate the other peaks.
BAGESHWAR
After a long tired journey we reach Bageshwar at 8:30 PM, we join a kumauni marriage at Bageshwar. It is located about 90 kms from Almora on the confluence of the rivers Saryu and Gomti. The town is famous for ancient Bagnath Temple and the annual Uttaraini fair held in January.

KAPKOT BHARARI
Bharari Kapkot is situated about 25 km from Bageshwar, in Uttarakhand. Surrounded by high mountains, this picturesque spot is a favorite halting point for the enthusiastic trekkers who proceed towards the Pindari Glacier.
